FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

1) Why should I have a financial coach?

Investing should be fun, but it can be confusing sometimes. Also, your strategy can get a bit muddled as time goes on. Things happen. I can help you focus, or re-focus on what is and is not important. Plus it is important to many people to have "the third party" independent voice. Remember, all brokers and financial planners are paid on commission. You must transact, buy or sell, for them to get paid. They do not always have your best interest, or your agenda in mind. After we work together, all of your advisors will know that you are the boss, and that they are strictly accountable to you.

2) How often should we talk?

That is entirely up to you. I have some clients that speak with me weekly, some once a month, and some 4 times per year.

3) What exactly do you do as my coach?

The first thing is to take an inventory. Where are you now and then most importantly, where do you want to be. I will help you build the accountability lines--solidify your relationship with your broker/advisor, help you select a new one (if necessary). I will then help you lay out a clear, definitive plan for you and your family, and make sure that this plan is stuck too...by you and by your advisors.

4) Why 3 distinct programs?

Some clients want and need the Tune -up, the general discussions. They want to bounce ideas and strategies off me, and have me help them think it through. The NetWorth builder is more detailed, more strategic and very beneficial to clients that want their investing life to be simplified, yet have their strategy implemented.

The World Class Investor is really an education to the world of stocks and how the professionals do it. I really walk you through the details of knowing when to buy, sell, buy more; how to identify great companies early in their cycle, and how to really evaluate research quickly. We cover trading around a core position and how to hedge for downside protection. Many of my clients love this program because it does simplify what many originally thought was "above their heads". Nonsense!

5) I don't really know anything about investing. Why should I speak with you?

Because I will teach you some very simple, yet critical principals that will let you begin the journey. This is primarily in the Tune Up program. 6-7 beginner's principals' will awaken the investor in you!! I have witnessed many novices' who became excellent investors, using about 20 minutes per month to watch, fine tune and monitor their investments.
